New milestones, new stature of relations between Vietnam and traditional friends

The visit marks a milestone in the history of the close and trusting relationship between Vietnam and traditional friends, bringing the relationship to new heights, meeting the requirements of the new era.

2025 is a special year for both Vietnam and Kazakhstan, with the two countries establishing a Strategic Partnership within the framework of General Secretary To Lam's visit to Kazakhstan, opening a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations.

The joint statement stated that the two countries' senior leaders agreed that the development and deepening of Vietnam-Kazakhstan relations is in line with the common interests of the two peoples, contributing to ensuring peace, stability and development in the region and the world ; agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a strategic partnership and continue to promote cooperation.

Vietnam and Kazakhstan share many similarities in terms of geostrategic location, development history and culture; both value hospitality and solidarity. The people of the two countries cherish and have sincere feelings for each other, which transcend geographical distance.

General Secretary To Lam's speech at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan affirmed the importance of strengthening Vietnam-Kazakhstan relations in the current situation.

The General Secretary said: In the current volatile context, developing countries like Vietnam and Kazakhstan need to come closer together and cooperate closely to respond to common challenges. As nations that have experienced many ups and downs in history, Vietnam and Kazakhstan understand more than anyone else the value of maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development.

In Azerbaijan, General Secretary To Lam and President Ilham Aliyev signed a Joint Statement on establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries, marking a historic milestone on the journey of more than 30 years of development together.

This is a solid foundation for Vietnam and Azerbaijan to continue to strengthen and consolidate existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, while paving the way for the formation of new mechanisms, thereby bringing the relationship between the two countries to new heights on both bilateral and multilateral levels.

In Azerbaijan, General Secretary To Lam and President Ilham Aliyev signed a Joint Statement on establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries, marking a historic milestone on the journey of more than 30 years of development together.

Vietnam-Azerbaijan relations originated from President Ho Chi Minh's visit in 1959, before the two countries officially established diplomatic relations in 1992. During this visit, General Secretary To Lam attended the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Room of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam-Azerbaijan oil and gas industry at the Azerbaijan State University of Petroleum and Industry.
