Fire at plywood factory in Hung Yen

At 12:30 on October 12, upon receiving a fire report in Duc Ninh village, Duc Hop Commune Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police (Hung Yen Provincial Police) to dispatch 3 fire trucks to the scene.

Through reconnaissance, it was found that the fire site was a plywood factory located next to a garment factory and a grocery store, so the risk of the fire spreading to the surrounding area was very high. In order to promptly contain the fire, the police force along with other relevant departments urgently deployed plans to put out the fire and prevent the fire from spreading. At the same time, the police force mobilized 3 specialized fire trucks to the scene and mobilized 2 water pumps to serve the fire fighting work.

By 1:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control. At the same time, the authorities were able to move some of the machinery and equipment in the factory outside to limit damage.

According to initial information, the fire affected 350 square meters of the factory and burned down some machinery and equipment. The fire did not cause any human casualties, because the fire broke out on a holiday and there were no people working at the factory.

The cause of the fire, as well as property damage, is being investigated and clarified by authorities.
