Chelsea have reportedly rejected a bid of more than €170m from Manchester City for Cole Palmer.

Palmer is a mainstay of Chelsea.

According to Fichajes , the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions have said they will only negotiate if the price reaches €250 million. This figure, if realized, would break the world record set by Neymar in 2017 when he moved to PSG for €222 million.

Palmer, 23, has been a mainstay at Chelsea since leaving Man City in 2023. With a brilliant season last season with 18 goals, 10 assists, he quickly established himself as one of the best attacking players in the Premier League.

Palmer's remarkable growth has not only attracted the attention of Man City but also many other European giants. However, Chelsea are not deterred. They see Palmer as the centerpiece of their long-term plans at Stamford Bridge.

"The Blues" showed great ambition in the 2025/26 season by recruiting a series of quality new players in the summer transfer market, notably Joao Pedro (63.7 million euros), Liam Delap (35.5 million euros), Jamie Gittens (64.3 million euros), Estevao (34 million euros).

Coach Enzo Maresca will have a young, experienced squad to help Chelsea win the Premier League title after nearly a decade of waiting.
