Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch meets and dialogues with businesses

On the afternoon of March 6, Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch organized a meeting and dialogue with businesses in early spring 2024; disseminated new policy documents related to import and export activities of goods. Attending were leaders of the Provincial Customs Department; representatives of 16 businesses participating in import and export activities at Ta Lung Border Gate.

In 2023, closely following the key programs of the industry and the Provincial Customs Department, Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch will effectively implement plans and work programs, ensuring State management of customs. Force building work is always focused on, strictly implementing discipline and administrative discipline. Administrative reform and customs modernization are promoted according to the policy of promoting digital transformation towards smart customs. Inspection and supervision of customs procedures are resolved quickly and conveniently, promptly removing obstacles and difficulties for businesses, ensuring effective customs management in the new situation. Resolutely and synchronously deploy tasks and solutions on State budget collection. Anti-smuggling control work is maintained and strengthened, preventing the emergence of hot spots and complicated incidents in the military area.

As of December 31, 2023, the total budget revenue of Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch reached over 600 billion VND, contributing 86.87% of the total revenue of the Provincial Customs Department. The total import-export turnover reached over 356.2 million USD, down 43% over the same period in 2022; during the year, there were 178 enterprises participating in import-export through the area, with 6,961 import-export declarations, up 99% over the same period in 2022.

At the same time, the Department disseminates circulars and instructions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on promulgating the list, types, and quality standards of exported minerals managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the list of potentially unsafe products under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the circular promulgating the file code table for the list of goods under the management authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the list of imported and exported goods subject to specialized inspection in the field of agriculture and rural development; the circular of the Ministry of Finance regulating the determination of origin of imported and exported goods... Decrees of the Government on the field of import and export. Propagating and disseminating acts of commercial fraud and violations of the law on customs procedures.

In 2024, the Department will continue to implement solutions for managing import-export tax collection; effectively deploy State management of Customs, operate well management software, VNCCS/VCIS Electronic Customs Clearance System, VASSCM System; deploy national single window, ASEAN single window; online public service provision system of the Customs sector. Maintain and implement tax payment through the Electronic Tax Payment and 24/7 Customs Clearance System, creating maximum convenience for taxpayers, shortening the time to complete customs procedures.

Strengthening the control and prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transportation of goods across the border, focusing on prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, goods requiring intellectual property rights protection, goods requiring food hygiene and safety, and drugs.
