On July 16, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province reported the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
According to preliminary results, the total number of candidates recognized as graduates is 35,418/35,727 candidates; reaching a rate of 99.14%; down 0.53% compared to 2024.
The exam results decreased compared to 2024, but the quality of each subject increased, of which 70/138 (50.72%) units achieved a 100% high school graduation rate. This is very encouraging, showing the efforts, solidarity, determination, and determination to overcome difficulties of the entire industry to achieve the set common goal.
Advantages in quality, average subject scores in the top 10 nationwide, specifically:
Literature ranked 9th/34 nationwide (7,094 points, 35,883 candidates), ranked 2nd/6 in the Mekong Delta; Biology ranked 10th/34 nationwide (5,812 average points, 3,662 candidates), ranked 1st/6 in the Mekong Delta.
History ranked 7th/34 nationwide (6,650 points, 17,207 candidates), ranked 2nd/6 in the Mekong Delta; Geography ranked 10th/34 nationwide (6,724 points, 15,601 candidates), ranked 3rd/6 in the Mekong Delta.
Economics and Law Education ranked 8th (7,810 points, 7,465 candidates), ranked 1/6 in the Mekong Delta; Technology - Industry ranked 9th (6,151 points, 248 candidates), ranked 3/6 in the Mekong Delta.

Subjects with a score of 10 are Information Technology (3 scores of 10) ranked 8/34 nationwide, ranked 2/6 in the Mekong Delta; CNNN (4 scores of 10) ranked 10/34 nationwide, ranked 3/6 in the Mekong Delta; English (3 scores of 10) ranked 9/34 nationwide, ranked 1/6 in the Mekong Delta;
Explaining the reason for the decrease in the rate, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province said that this is the first exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, the exam questions are differentiated in a new direction, in which English and Math are assessed as more difficult, the formula for calculating scores for high school graduation recognition has changed to use the transcript scores of all 3 years of grades 10, 11, and 12.
According to the general assessment of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang received close and timely attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, the Department of Education and Training coordinated well with the Departments, Boards and sectors in the whole province in organizing the exam.
The leaders of the Department of Education and Training have given strong and timely instructions for schools to focus on improving quality, strengthening teaching, and effectively managing remedial teaching for students who are weak and have not yet achieved knowledge; from there, schools choose teachers with good experience and expertise to train students to ensure they have enough knowledge to participate in the exam and achieve good results.
Currently, An Giang's average subject score is quite high nationwide and in the Mekong Delta, with 6/12 subjects ranked in the top 10 nationwide and in the top 3 in the Mekong Delta.
