According to the latest information from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, during the peak holiday of April 30, there will be an average of 750 flights per day from all airlines arriving and departing from Tan Son Nhat Airport. Of these, there are 450 domestic flights and 300 international flights. The number of flights increases by about 10% compared to the current flight schedule, focusing on domestic routes.
Vietnam Airlines delays 'moving house' to Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal
The expected number of passengers moving through the port each day is about 122,000, including 72,000 domestic flights and the remaining 50,000 international flights, an increase of about 9% compared to the current number of passengers (112,000 passengers/day).
Notably, Vietnam Airlines will adjust its plan to operate all domestic flights to Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3 instead of the previous plan from April 28. This means that only passengers with Vietnam Airlines flights between Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi , Van Don will check in at Terminal T3 at gates D4, D5, D6. All remaining flights of Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO will continue to operate at Terminal T1 as they are currently operating.
Along with that, VietJet still operates at terminal T1 and has not yet transferred its flight operations to terminal T3.
Tan Son Nhat Airport recommends that passengers arrive at the domestic terminal 2 hours in advance and the international terminal 3 hours in advance. Prepare all personal documents and check luggage according to regulations before checking in. Passengers are encouraged to check in online before arriving at the airport to save time.
Tan Son Nhat Port organizes a free shuttle bus to serve passengers traveling between the new T3 terminal and the existing T1 and T2 terminals. The shuttle bus uses VinFast electric buses, gathering at columns B17 - B20, lane B of T1 terminal; columns B16 - B15, lane B of T2 terminal and columns A17 - A20, 1st floor of T3 terminal. The bus operates from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. with a frequency of 15 - 20 minutes/trip.
Free drinking water at Terminal T3 is located at the following locations: Departures (3rd floor), next to the Information and Assistance counter, opposite the security check-in area (ticket and document check); post-security screening area, next to departure gate number 12; post-security screening area, next to departure gate number 15; Arrivals (2nd floor), right inside gate A2.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport said it will arrange a force including members of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Youth Union to support passengers at terminals T1 and T3 during peak hours (5-9am) from April 29 to May 4. At the same time, it will closely coordinate with units to develop plans and solutions to serve passengers and ensure safe operations during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.
The airport requires airline representatives to be present at the counter/gate to promptly handle and inform passengers of flight delays and cancellations, to avoid passengers causing frustration, causing disturbances and disrupting security and order at the terminal, affecting airport operations.
At the same time, coordinate promptly with units in implementing exploitation plans, updating information on arriving and departing flights in a timely manner to regulate and allocate resources to ensure exploitation during peak hours; Deploy tasks to serve charter flights, work related to exploitation activities, promptly discuss arising problems, and ensure exploitation activities.
