Safe and convenient social insurance payment contributes to promoting cashless payments

In the first 8 months of 2025, the Provincial Social Insurance (PSI) performed well the work of resolving and paying social insurance and unemployment insurance (UI) benefits to people with the motto of being quick, timely and safe, ensuring legitimate rights for participants.

According to statistics, by the end of August 2025, the provincial Social Insurance Department had settled for more than 398,587 people receiving social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits. In particular, the payment of monthly pensions and social insurance benefits to 42,208 people was fully and timely implemented, of which the rate of receiving through bank accounts reached 78.38%.

Notably, the payment rate via account for one-time social insurance regimes and unemployment benefits reached over 99%, exceeding the assigned target. This is an outstanding result demonstrating the industry's determination in promoting digital transformation, reforming administrative procedures, as well as propagating and mobilizing people to change the habit of receiving regimes in cash.

With the achieved results, the provincial Social Insurance continues to affirm its core role in implementing social security policies in the area. Increasing payments through bank accounts not only contributes to improving transparency and convenience for beneficiaries, but also promotes the implementation of the goal of cashless payments as directed by the Government./ .
