The first laptop to use the RTX 5060 is the new MSI Cyborg. The prototype of the machine on display at Computex 2025 was fully functional, but had its discrete graphics card disabled. The reason could be that the newly launched GPU line does not yet have the right drivers to take advantage of its performance.

The Cyborg series is also a popular product, targeting MSI's young customers. The product's design is inspired by half-human, half-machine life forms in science fiction movies. The transparent, irregularly arranged patterns on the body create an impression.

Without trying to cut down on size, the Cyborg 15/17 series still has enough space to fully exploit the performance of the new generation CPU/GPU. Overall, the product is still neat and convenient for moving.

In addition to the new graphics card, the Cyborg line is also equipped with two CPU versions from Intel and AMD including Core Ultra 240H and Ryzen 7 260. The screen is still maintained by the company at FullHD resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate. This is a suitable number for a popular gaming computer line.

There are no official specifications for the RTX 5060 on the MSI Cyborg model. The PC version of the GPU costs the same as the previous generation. According to the company's announcement, it offers twice the frame rate when playing games as the RTX 3060. However, the number has AI intervention. Specifically, DLSS 4 can compensate for a large amount of FPS by adding images in the middle of the rendered image. Thus, the real power of the chip is not as outstanding as advertised.

According to Wired , the RTX 5060 has about 20% higher pure performance than its predecessor. The metrics such as CUDA cores and VRAM are not yet announced.

According to Nvidia’s pricing, laptops with the RTX 5060 start at $1,099 . However, actual prices are often higher as manufacturers add features. Combined with the scarcity of Blackwell-based chips, new laptop shipments may take a long time to reach end customers.
