Smart ring with integrated AI detects adultery

A new smart ring has been introduced that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect "abnormal" signs in the wearer, such as changes in heart rate and body temperature, to warn the other person that things are not right.

The ring is equipped with microphones and sensors, allowing AI to distinguish between private moments and other physical activities, to avoid false reporting.

To show trust, both people in the relationship must wear a ring. The LED light on the ring will flash pink when it detects cheating behavior from the other person.

The company's website proudly proclaims: "If any problems arise, users will be notified."

However, the project has caused a lot of controversy since its launch. The New York Post called it an "inhumane loyalty tracker".

RAW CEO Marina Anderson believes the ring will restore the meaning of the word "trust" in a context where many marriages end in divorce.

The company promotes the product as helping couples "understand each other better" through biosensors and artificial intelligence.

RAW maintains that the ring is voluntary and easily identifiable, and serves no covert purpose. “If you were going to cheat, you would never wear that ring,” Anderson said.

However, many people are concerned about the consequences this device can have on couples who already lack trust.

RAW assured that they had anticipated negative situations and asserted that data sharing could be stopped at any time.

Many opinions say that instead of healing the cracks in the relationship, the ring seeks to monitor and supervise.

The device is expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026, with up to a week of battery life between charges. Pricing and other details are not yet available.
