The museum currently displays, preserves, and safeguards over 11,000 artifacts, mostly originating from the Nguyen Dynasty's imperial court, such as: collections of porcelain, enamelware, court costumes, seals, musical instruments used in ceremonies, mirror paintings, gilded and inlaid wooden objects, and cannons from the Nguyen Lords and Kings eras. Among these, 8 artifacts/sets of artifacts, comprising 33 individual items, have been recognized as National Treasures by the Prime Minister .

The collections of the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum reflect the material life, political rituals, and ideology of the Nguyen dynasty's aristocracy and royal officials; expressed through court costumes, royal porcelain, ceremonial objects, interior decorative wooden items, and objects used in daily life and ceremonies, made from various materials: gold, silver, copper, bone, ivory, enamel, ceramics, wood, fabric, and paper.

Domestic and international tourists visit the royal throne of the Nguyen dynasty.

The golden tree with jade leaves was crafted during the reign of King Minh Mạng.
