Campaign "Act together for the blue sea" in Mui Ne

BTO - The launching ceremony of the Campaign "Acting Together for the Blue Sea" was recently organized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province in coordination with the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward, and the Fund for a Green Future at the coastal area of ​​​​Quarter 2, Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet City, on the morning of June 8. Attending were representatives of Mui Ne Border Guard Station, Ham Tien - Mui Ne Tourist Area Management Board and 400 cadres, soldiers, union members, youth, political and social organizations, schools, and tourism businesses in Mui Ne Ward.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Thai Thi Ngoc Tran, Head of the Department of Fisheries and Islands under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that the launching ceremony of the "Joining Action for the Blue Sea" campaign aims to convey the message of building a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature; rational use of natural resources, biodiversity, and response to climate change, through activities to join hands towards a greener, cleaner lifestyle. Joining hands to protect the coast of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet City in particular, and the blue sea of ​​Binh Thuan in general. This practical activity responds to World Oceans Day on June 8, 2025, launched by the United Nations "Magical Ocean: Preserving the source of life for humanity"; Vietnam Sea and Islands Week (June 1-8) with the theme "Green technology for a sustainable ocean" launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Along with that, representatives of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee and the Green Future Fund under Vingroup spoke at the launching ceremony, all joining hands to practically respond to actions for the blue sea. Because protecting the marine environment is not the responsibility of one person - not of one industry, one locality or one generation - but the mission of everyone.

Within the framework of the ceremony, representatives of Phan Thiet City symbolically presented national flags to representatives of Mui Ne Border Guard Station so that the Border Guard could present national flags to fishermen in the ward. At the same time, representatives of the Green Future Fund symbolically presented garbage collection bins to leaders of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee to implement the waste separation model at source in the ward.

Responding to the launching ceremony, 400 cadres, civil servants, union members, youth, students, and employees of tourist establishments in Mui Ne ward, along with soldiers from Mui Ne Border Guard Station, together cleaned up the coastal waste from Dai Duong Xanh restaurant, Mui Ne fishing village to the Sea Park in Ward 2 of this ward, returning a clean environment to the beach in the area.
