Central-level Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign 2023

DTO - On August 5, at the Go Thap National Special Relic Site (Hamlet 1, Tan Kieu Commune, Thap Muoi District), the Central Youth Union organized the Central-level Red Holiday Volunteer Campaign program in 2023. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth; Phan Van Thang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Thap Province; Huynh Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of units under the Central Youth Union; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, the Provincial Youth Union; Thap Muoi District and over 500 cadres, union members, youth and people.

At the program, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and its affiliated units mobilized to donate resources to support the province in implementing many projects, tasks and the model of “Worth Living Village” with a total value of 805 million VND. The Provincial Youth Union and its affiliated units donated resources to the locality to implement projects and tasks with a total value of 500 million VND. The Provincial Youth Union awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

After the program, delegates, cadres, union members and youths participated in many activities: inaugurating the project of digitizing the Go Thap National Special Monument; starting the project of lighting up the countryside roads with solar lights (length 2km); planting trees, clearing bushes with a length of 3km on route K200. Carrying out activities to support community digital transformation, installing applications VNeID, e-Dong Thap, Dong Thap Health, implementing the model of "People's market to limit plastic waste" at Tan Kieu market...

This is a key activity of the Central Youth Union in supporting Hamlet 1, Tan Kieu Commune to build the model of "Worth Living Village" (1 of 3 points nationwide). Through the Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign, it aims to promote the pioneering and volunteering role of union members and young people in participating in activities for community life, contributing to the implementation of local social security work.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said that with the theme of 2023 "Promoting synchronous digital transformation in all aspects of the Union's work", the activities of the Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign in 2023 focus on promoting the expertise and professions of the forces, along with specialized teams at all levels, applying digital transformation, mobilizing resources to participate in supporting economic and social development, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development in difficult areas. Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam wished each soldier of the Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign to always maintain the fire of enthusiasm, passion for work, creativity, and dedication to professional tasks and volunteer activities.

Responding to the Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign, on the same day, all levels of the Youth Union in the province simultaneously launched many activities such as environmental sanitation, tree planting; propaganda, guiding people to perform online public services, administrative procedures at home; free medical examination and medicine for people; repairing and donating playgrounds, cultural institutions for children, etc. with a budget of more than 750 million VND.
