The initial awkwardness has disappeared and has been replaced by confidence through each training day. The basic movements of infantry techniques and tactics, team orders, physical training, etc. have been performed skillfully and accurately. That result has strengthened the confidence and motivated the new officers and soldiers of the unit to continue to strive, overcome all difficulties, and excellently complete the task. According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Tuan - Political Commissar of the Training Frame Battalion, Regiment 895, promoting the results and experiences of previous years, the Party Committee of the Regiment issued a resolution to lead the implementation of the training task in 2023 with many policies and measures of close and correct leadership, focusing on the task of training new soldiers under the direction of the Commander of the Military Region. To effectively perform the task of managing and training new soldiers, the unit has selected capable and enthusiastic officers to be assigned to the training frame. Conducted training and coaching of the cadre frame with full training contents and methods; How to prepare lesson plans and lectures for each faculty and subject; approve lectures and lesson plans according to hierarchy.

Grasping the psychological characteristics of new soldiers, right from the first days of enlistment, the unit's cadres have always been close to grasp the thoughts and aspirations, promptly encouraged and shared difficulties with new soldiers, thereby creating a friendly atmosphere between cadres and soldiers, helping new recruits stabilize their thoughts and feel secure in training. In addition, the Battalion has proactively done a good job of disseminating, assigning tasks, building will and determination for the cadres directly participating in training. Cadres at all levels from battalion, company, and platoon have regularly directly managed, commanded, inspected, and urged the training activities, living, and studying of the troops. The cadre force has always been exemplary in all work in the spirit of "taking love and responsibility as the standard, training effectiveness as the measure" and promoting the education of soldiers through specific actions.

With such careful preparation, even though it was only a short time in the unit, most of the new soldiers felt secure. Through contact and conversation with the new soldiers, I felt the friendly, warm environment and their confidence right from the first days in the army. Soldier Duong Tan Phat, Squad 4, Platoon 2, Company 1, Battalion 516 said: “In more than 1 month in the new unit, I have learned more about the unit, the characteristics of the stationed area; got used to the working, living, studying, and working regime during the day and week. Besides, I have to follow the regulations on military style, greetings, wearing uniforms; learning about the team regulations... Although this is the first time living collectively, and in a military unit with strict discipline, I have caught up, eaten and slept well, studied and lived happily”.

Soldier Tiet An Khang, Squad 2, Platoon 1, Company 1, Battalion 516 confided: “The living and learning conditions here are quite adequate. I am most impressed with the comrades in the training frame. During study hours or training sessions outside the training ground, the comrades are serious and strict, but during breaks and holidays, they are very cheerful and close like brothers in the family. In addition, during training sessions, the comrades enthusiastically guide and answer all questions, helping us understand and grasp each lesson and key movements better.”

In the first month of training new soldiers, Battalion 516 has achieved many positive results. Up to now, 100% of new soldiers are mentally secure, well integrated into the military environment, have a spirit of solidarity, a high sense of responsibility; initially have a firm grasp of the content and basic techniques of movements. To achieve such results, the Party Committee and unit commanders in the whole unit have resolutely implemented many specific measures with a strong determination to train them right from the first month.

The training phase for new soldiers is a fundamental first step, forming military skills, qualities, personality, and bravery for soldiers. Therefore, right from the first month, officers and soldiers of Battalion 516 have strived to compete in studying and training, creating a solid foundation to successfully complete assigned tasks.

“During the training process, we focused on instructing soldiers to practice the essentials of movements, specifically keeping a calm mind; coordinating smoothly. Many psychological measures were implemented right on the training ground, such as: regularly chatting, visiting, and encouraging soldiers; sharing training and practice experiences... thereby creating a joyful, comfortable, and close atmosphere between officers and soldiers during the training process.”
