It was truly heartbreaking to see the children, who, despite being in the heart of the city, rarely have the opportunity to enjoy genuine artistic performances. And like a refreshing summer rain, the circus brought about an overwhelming surge of emotion. The acts were vividly and attractively presented, recreating the colorful Avatar forest in the costumes of the characters. The acrobatic stunts, tightrope walking, and aerial maneuvers, accompanied by rounds of applause, were a rewarding experience that further motivated the circus artists.
The show delivered many surprises and enjoyable entertainment for the children and people of Phan Thiet, without needing any promises. "This was our second time watching the circus, but while the first time brought different emotions, this time the children were extremely happy, as if they were immersed in the world of a cartoon or a fairy tale. It was great, captivating, and had a compelling story," said audience member Tran Hoang.
The elaborately staged program, produced by the Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts Theatre, is based on newly adapted, captivating stories that are relatable to modern children's lives, while still retaining mythological elements to awaken the imagination of young children.
Right from the opening act, the young audience was delighted by the animal circus show featuring familiar cartoon characters: the rescue team with their transformations into familiar animals like dogs, cats, goats, and horses, along with a majestic guard of chickens, monkeys, and giant dinosaurs. The special appearance of a handsome prince, along with characters from a magical fairy world and superheroes flying through the air, brought the world of childhood closer to the children of Phan Thiet.
From the audience's perspective, immersed in the atmosphere of the performance, watching the children cheer, captivated, and excited by the acts, I believe that many parents will have many thoughts. How long has it been since we last spent time with our children?! How long has it been since we witnessed them having fun, immersed in that atmosphere… Circus art has brought children moments of suspense, thrill, excitement, and amazing boldness, preserving sweet childhood memories for their little ones.
Cheers erupted as a spectacular reenactment of the mysterious Avatar love story, a gold medal-winning international performance by leading Vietnamese circus artists and artists from the Lao People's Democratic Republic, was presented. Based on newly adapted and captivating stories that resonated with modern children's lives while retaining mythological elements, the performance awakened the imagination of young listeners.
Young audiences will be thrilled by the vibrant "Dance of the Green Forest" music festival featuring familiar cartoon characters, especially the handsome prince, beautiful princesses, and characters from a magical fairy world, along with moon superheroes, soaring through the air. A majestic leopard king, a camel from the distant desert, a giant dinosaur, a Spider-Man battle, and a dazzling, colorful forest.
With a height of over 20 meters, nearly 30 young artists performed in turns, causing the audience to gasp and get goosebumps countless times due to the precariousness and lack of safety ropes, leaving many feeling anxious. Only when the performance ended did the audience breathe a sigh of relief, and applause for the daring act rang out continuously. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a good and captivating circus show. Many acts gave me feelings of fear, emotion, and heart-stopping moments. It really showed me the hard work and dedication of the circus performers,” shared audience member Thanh Vân.
Circus art is back, once again bringing a wide range of emotions to the audience. It's a chance for children to create sweet memories this summer, and more importantly, it's important for parents to understand that, beyond academic pressure, children also need meaningful spiritual values appropriate for their age, allowing them to soar with their imaginations and learn the core values of hard work and effort for the future.
