(HNM) - The Government has just issued Resolution No. 53/NQ-CP dated April 14, 2023 implementing Resolution No. 74/2022/QH15 dated November 15, 2022 of the National Assembly on promoting the implementation of policies and laws on practicing thrift and combating waste in the 2016-2021 period.
The Government assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to preside over the development and submission to the Prime Minister of a project on propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness, consciousness and responsibility in implementing policies and laws on practicing thrift and combating waste in each agency, organization and individual, both in the public and private sectors, so that practicing thrift and combating waste truly becomes a behavioral culture of cadres, civil servants, public employees and the people.
The Ministry of Home Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to advise the Government on organizing emulation movements on practicing thrift and combating waste; practicing thrift and combating waste in all areas of production and consumption at all levels, in all sectors and among the people with practical and effective themes, contents and forms. Timely commend, reward and replicate advanced models in implementing thrift and combating waste.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to advise the Government on innovation in the development, promulgation, organization of implementation and reporting on the implementation of the 5-year and annual Program on practicing thrift and combating waste, in a direction that ensures both comprehensiveness and focus, with key points and themes for each year.
Ministries, branches and localities continue to improve the system of policies and laws related to practicing thrift and combating waste to ensure consistency, unity and suitability to practical requirements; seriously rectify, learn from experience and promptly have synchronous solutions to overcome shortcomings and limitations pointed out in the report on the results of the supervision of the National Assembly's supervision delegation; enhance the responsibility of leaders, individualize responsibilities; ensure publicity and transparency; promote administrative procedure reform; strengthen discipline, order and focus on directing to effectively implement the work of practicing thrift and combating waste. At the same time, organize inspections, checks, prevent and promptly and strictly handle violations of the law to avoid loss and waste; focus on carefully studying the solutions, proposals and recommendations stated in the report of the National Assembly's supervision delegation to strictly implement key tasks.
