The Lifestyle cultural and social guidebook has just published a list of 7 Asian destinations imbued with the Austencore spirit or romantic European lifestyle.

Austencore is a slow, romantic style inspired by the Regency period in England.

These destinations are all places with peaceful scenery, suitable for picnics and cozy, romantic afternoon tea parties.

Da Lat is the only representative of Vietnam mentioned in this list. This is an ideal destination for many types of tourists, from explorers to romantic souls.

Xuan Huong Lake in the heart of Dalat is also considered a perfect place for couples.

Dalat also has ancient French villas and deserted roads lined with pine trees, reminiscent of the European resort scene of the last century.

Besides Da Lat, the other 6 names on this list include: Thanh Canh Farm, Taiwan (China), the port cities of Otaru and Furano (Japan), and the cities of Tagaytay, Baguio and Sagada (Philippines).

According to Lifestyle , Tagaytay is a destination about two hours drive from the capital Manila, a top choice with a cool climate and fresh, misty mornings and the romantic view of Taal Lake.

Sagada (Philippines) is a small town located at an altitude of 1,766m above sea level. There are small peaceful villages nestled among the trees.
