Located in Giza Governorate, approximately 20 km west of central Cairo and 1.2 km from the Giza Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum creates a striking visual link between ancient heritage and modern architecture. The total area of the museum is 480,000 m2, of which the exhibition area occupies approximately 24,000 m2.
Construction began in 2002 and the Grand Egyptian Museum consists of 12 main galleries that tell the story of ancient Egyptian society with three main themes: Kingship, Society and Religion. The artifacts in the museum are arranged according to the most modern display methods, providing a deeply interactive experience for visitors. To date, more than 57,000 artifacts have been transferred to the museum, of which 14,000 artifacts have been displayed in the main exhibition rooms. The Grand Egyptian Museum is a great cultural work bearing the historical, intellectual and national identity of Egypt, where precious artifacts are preserved and displayed, affirming the eternal values of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Designed in the shape of pyramids and ancient Egyptian geometry, the Grand Museum has a large lobby with a highlight of the 11-meter-high statue of Pharaoh Ramses II, creating a space that is both majestic and modern. The museum's design takes advantage of natural light while focusing on climate factors, helping to protect artifacts from the harshness of desert weather. One of the highlights of this project is the advanced display technology, combining 3D images, virtual reality and modern lighting, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the history, beliefs and life of ancient Egyptians.
