Phu Quoc Ridgeback Dog gets postage stamp

The stamp set, designed by artist Nguyen Du, will be available on the postal network from October 11, 2024 to June 30, 2026.

Phu Quoc Ridgeback dogs are mainly distributed in Phu Quoc Island ( Kien Giang ). They live in the sea with foot structure suitable for moving on sand, plains and have the ability to dig burrows.

Currently, Phu Quoc Ridgeback dogs have many breeds such as brindle, yellow, black, striped... good hunting ability, good swimming, good racing, especially knowing how to obey the owner in guarding the house.

Phu Quoc Ridgeback usually has a ridge on its back. An adult ridgeback weighs about 20-25kg with a small head, long neck, long and pointed muzzle, long, thin ears and spots on the tongue.

In addition to the Phu Quoc ridgeback dog stamp set, Vietnam Post Corporation also issued a dog stamp set including: Bac Ha dog, Song Ma dog, H'Mong dog with the price of 4,000 VND.
