Hai Phong City People's Committee has just approved the plan to select subjects for the entrance exam to Grade 10 public high schools, school year 2025-2026 according to the proposal of the Departmentof Education and Training including 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to announce the entrance exam subjects for Grade 10 public high schools, school year 2025 - 2026, and at the same time prepare well the conditions to organize the exam according to regulations.

The format and duration of the exams are as follows: Math is multiple-choice, 90 minutes; Literature is essay-based, 120 minutes; Foreign Language is multiple-choice, 60 minutes.
The content of the exam questions for the subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Languages follows the structure of the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2025-2026 school year (issued with Decision No. 1039/QD-SGDĐT dated July 31, 2024 of the Department of Education and Training on promulgating the structure of the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school from the 2025-2026 school year).
Also according to the Department of Education and Training, based on the actual situation of grade 9 students in the 2024-2025 school year, which is the first year of implementing the entrance exam according to the 2018 General Education Program with a new structure and format of exam questions and the results of a survey on the entrance exam plan for grade 10 high school, school year 2025-2026. Based on the admission results achieved in the 2024-2025 school year, in order to stabilize the approach to the 2018 General Education Program, the Department of Education and Training proposes to select the entrance exam subject for grade 10 public high school in the 2025-2026 school year according to the above plan.
