Forecast heavy rain In the next 24-48 hours, from the morning of August 19 to the night of August 19, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 40-70mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

In addition, on the day and night of August 19, the Northwest region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10-30mm, with some places having heavy rain of over 80mm.

Warning of risk of heavy rain (>100mm/3h).

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

From August 20, heavy rain in the areas gradually decreased.

In the next 3-6 hours, in the provinces: Dien Bien , Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh from 20-50mm, some places over 100mm; Thanh Hoa and Nghe An from 10-30mm, some places over 90mm.
