The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang has just issued an official dispatch requesting the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to proactively respond to the increasing cold air and cold weather.

Instructions on implementing measures to respond to cold air to ensure safety for agricultural production.

According to the forecast of the Bac Giang Province Hydrometeorological Station, around the night of December 26, the cold air mass will strengthen and affect the Bac Giang province. On the night of December 27, the cold air mass will continue to strengthen, with strong northeast winds at level 2 and level 3. Due to the influence of the strengthening cold air mass, there will be light rain in some places in the province, and cold weather; the lowest temperature will be 15-17 °C, and in mountainous areas 14-16 °C.

Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development recommends that localities closely monitor warning bulletins and forecasts on the development of the cold spell and promptly inform authorities and people at all levels to proactively prevent it.

Proactively implement safety measures for people, crops, buffaloes, cows and livestock, especially in mountainous areas (Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam districts) where temperatures are likely to drop lower.

Continue to implement the contents according to Official Dispatch No. 3395/SNN-TL dated December 6, 2024 of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on proactively responding to cold in the province, with the contents that need to be focused on implementation such as: Reviewing cold response plans; providing guidance on ensuring people's health; instructing livestock groups to strengthen barns, cover and keep warm, and store food; preventing and controlling epidemics for livestock and poultry; implementing measures to ensure safety for rice, vegetable, and other crop production...
