(ABO) On the morning of February 27, along with other districts, towns and cities in Tien Giang province, Go Cong Dong district held the 2024 military enlistment ceremony.
Attending the military handover ceremony in Go Cong Dong district were comrades: Nguyen Ngoc Tram, member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Nguyen Thanh Dieu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, and sectors of the province and Go Cong Dong district.

In 2024, Go Cong Dong district has 142 young people eligible for military service; of which: 110 young people perform military service, 32 young people participate in the People's Public Security service. These young people are allocated to the following units: Tien Giang Provincial Military Command; Tien Giang Border Guard; Artillery Brigade 434, Corps 4; Tien Giang Provincial Police.
Speaking at the military enlistment ceremony, Chairman of Go Cong Dong District People's Committee Le Van Son hoped that the new recruits would always unite and encourage each other to overcome all difficulties and challenges, complete all tasks excellently, and bring back to their hometown and family new achievements in study and work. At the same time, he wished the new recruits good health on their way to military service and fulfill their promises to the locality and people of their hometown.
Representing the young men joining the army, new recruit Nguyen Vo Tuan Kha promised to follow in the footsteps of his fathers and brothers, contributing to building his homeland and country to become more prosperous and civilized.

In 2024, the Military Service Council of Go Cong Dong district ensured the conditions for organizing the military handover ceremony to take place as planned, solemnly, safely, and economically, contributing to encouraging and motivating young people to join the army and carry out the sacred task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
