Hanoi Club President assigns special targets to home team in AFC Champions League

Hanoi FC will participate in the AFC Champions League group stage for the first time this season, when they are in the same group with powerful representatives such as Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Pohang Steelers (Korea) and Wuhan Three Towns (China).

In which, Urawa is the current AFC Champions League champion, Wuhan is the current Chinese champion and Pohang is the strong team representing Korea.

In the history of AFC Champions League, there have been many Vietnamese clubs participating such as Binh Duong , HAGL, Viettel, however, none of them have passed the group stage. Chairman of Hanoi Club, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, expects Hanoi Club to play well in this playground.

"This is the first time Hanoi FC has participated in the AFC Champions League group stage. We understand that we have a noble duty and mission as a team when competing in the most prestigious playground in the continent for clubs. We are representing the country. As soon as we participated in the group stage, we boldly invested according to the tournament regulations with 6 foreign players, thereby trying to achieve the highest results.

Hanoi FC is in a tough group, facing opponents from the top football nations in the continent such as Japan, Korea and China, especially the reigning champion Urawa. To realize the AFC Champions League dream, we will try our best in each match and overcome these strong opponents.
