Chairman of Becamex Group Board of Directors received the medal "For the cause of Vietnamese Football"

(NLDO) - The Binh Duong Provincial Football Championship, sponsored by Becamex Group, has the participation of nearly 200 grassroots football teams in the area.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to individuals with outstanding achievements in developing grassroots and professional football in the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (2nd from left) received the Commemorative Medal for the cause of Vietnamese football.

These individuals include: Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex Group, Mr. Vu Duc Thanh, former Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial Football Federation and Mr. Cao Van Chong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Vietnam Football Federation, since 2007, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the former Binh Duong province (now the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City) has coordinated with the Binh Duong Province Football Federation (now the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation) to organize the Binh Duong Province Football Championship with the participation of nearly 200 amateur football teams in the area.

Three individuals with outstanding achievements in developing grassroots and professional football in the locality received commemorative medals.

Over the years, the tournament has not only been held annually but also become a traditional playground, contributing to the development of the sports movement, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

At the ceremony to present the Medals to the above individuals on the afternoon of October 9 at Binh Duong Stadium, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of Vietnam Football Federation, expressed his appreciation for the positive and effective contributions of the honored individuals.

According to Mr. Tuan, the companionship and enthusiasm of Messrs. Nguyen Van Hung, Vu Duc Thanh, and Cao Van Chong not only played an important role in the development of Binh Duong football in the previous period but also contributed to the overall development of the country's football.

He hopes that in the coming time, individuals and organizations will continue to accompany and support more strongly the activities of national football, especially in the development of grassroots football, youth training and together build a solid foundation for national football.
