Goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang will be naturalized as a Vietnamese citizen if the Ministry of Justice approves the application.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and the Vietnam Football Federation have made a proposal to support naturalization for goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang.

Coach Kim Sang-sik hopes Patrik Le Giang will be naturalized as a Vietnamese citizen.

Based on the requests regarding Patrik Le Giang, the sports industry sent a document to the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Public Security, with the following content: " The success of Vietnamese football in recent times is the recognition of the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Government and Vietnamese fans for football.

To continue and achieve the important goals of the national men's football team in international football tournaments such as: Asian championship, World Cup qualifiers, Southeast Asian championship. After monitoring and evaluating the professional expertise of the recent Vietnamese professional football season, the Vietnam Football Federation and Mr. Kim Sang-sik ( head coach of the national team) proposed to naturalize overseas Vietnamese player Patrick Le Giang, who is playing for the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club, managed by Ho Chi Minh City Football Joint Stock Company.

The document continued: "The naturalization is to supplement good forces for the national football team to perform its duties in the coming years. We respectfully request the Ministry of Justice to support the procedure for naturalization of Vietnamese nationality for overseas Vietnamese player Patrik Le Giang, born on September 8, 1992. Place of birth: Slovakia; Nationality: Slovakia. Entered Vietnam on January 25, 2023.

Competition record in Vietnam: played for Hanoi Police Club and Ho Chi Minh City Police Club since 2023 until now as a goalkeeper.

For the development of Vietnamese sports, especially Vietnamese football, we look forward to receiving the attention and support of the Ministry of Justice."
