When mentioning Ms. Do Thi Kim Oanh (born in 1969), the Chairwoman of the Women's Association of Nam Sach town, many people are impressed by a quick-witted and energetic woman.

Despite her age, Ms. Oanh is always full of energy and enthusiasm for her work with the women's association. Having served as the Chairwoman of the Women's Association of Nam Sach town since 2019, Ms. Oanh has made many significant contributions to caring for disadvantaged women and children in Nam Sach district.

Every year, Ms. Oanh mobilizes hundreds of millions of dong from the community to donate gifts to disadvantaged people in the town. She actively solicits donations from small traders in the district market to people from her hometown who are working and living abroad. Thanks to her efforts, children and poor women in the town receive gifts from the Women's Association on most holidays and festivals. To gain the trust of benefactors, Ms. Oanh organizes her gift-giving activities transparently and openly.

During the day, she works at the People's Committee of Nam Sach town. In the evening, she cycles to visit and check on the activities of the women's clubs in the town. When she first took on the project of building a model civilized street, Ms. Oanh also often went to check on things early in the morning after the environmental sanitation team had finished collecting garbage.

Through her "godmother" program supporting orphaned children, Ms. Oanh connected benefactors who sponsored 21 children, providing over 200 million VND in sponsorship over three years. Thanks to this, the Women's Association of Nam Sach town became the first commune-level unit in the province to achieve such a large number of sponsored orphaned children. Ms. Oanh also sponsored one child from a disadvantaged background. Energetic and proactive, Ms. Oanh not only excelled in caring for the lives of women in Nam Sach town but also assisted neighboring communes in completing challenging tasks. The Women's Association of Nam Sach town has been a leader in various movements, receiving commendations from the Vietnam Women's Union for five consecutive years.

Under the leadership of Ms. Oanh (in the blue shirt), the Women's Association of Nam Sach town has received commendations from the Vietnam Women's Union for five consecutive years.

Sharing her experiences and dedication to women's association work, Ms. Oanh also expressed many concerns. These include worries about funding, personnel, and time constraints when organizing activities, as the women are currently working in companies and running businesses, making them very busy. Regarding funding, the state budget for association activities is limited, and social mobilization efforts, if not handled carefully, could easily lead to negative consequences.

With her boldness and determination, Ms. Oanh overcame difficulties to organize meaningful activities that benefited society. As a result, the activities she organized were well-planned, impressive, and received enthusiastic support from many women in Nam Sach town. This consensus is also her joy and motivation to strive her best in her work with the women's association.

Thanks to her dedicated efforts, Ms. Oanh has received numerous commendations and certificates of merit. In 2023, she received a commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province for her outstanding achievements in implementing women's association work and movements during the period 2018-2023. This year, she has been nominated for a commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province for her exemplary achievements in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh .

Evaluating Ms. Oanh's work, Mr. Vuong Phuc Thanh, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Nam Sach District Party Committee, affirmed that she is a typical example of the district in studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh. Ms. Oanh's contributions have helped to promote the tradition of women being "heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable" and to the development of the locality.
