President To Lam received the Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction and the Chairman of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association.

President of the Lao Front for National Construction Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune expressed his joy and honor to greet President To Lam on the occasion of the President's State visit to Laos during his first foreign trip.

Comrade Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune affirmed that he always remembers and is grateful for the valuable assistance that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have given Laos in the past struggle for national liberation and in the current cause of national construction and development.

President of the Lao Front for National Construction Central Committee Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune emphasized that he will continue to closely coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to care for, help and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese people to do business and live in Laos.

President To Lam was pleased to see that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos are increasingly consolidated and developed extensively in all fields, especially culture, society and people-to-people exchange for the benefit of the two peoples.

The President highly appreciated the cooperation results between the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other Vietnamese partners in the recent past, especially the signing of the Cooperation Agreement for the 2022-2026 period between the two Fronts; requested the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese side to effectively implement cooperation agreements in the fields of the front, mass mobilization, religion, ethnicity and step up propaganda among all classes of people about the historical tradition of the special Vietnam-Laos relationship.

* On the same afternoon, President To Lam received the President of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association.

At the reception, the President emphasized that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos have been increasingly consolidated and developed extensively in all fields of politics, national defense, security, economy, education, culture and society... bringing about practical results for the benefit of the people of the two countries.

The President highly appreciated the role of President of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association Boviengkham Vongdala with his active contributions in educating, propagating, promoting people-to-people exchanges and raising awareness among the people of the two countries, especially the young generation, about constantly consolidating and nurturing the special friendship between the two nations.

The President also asked the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association to continue to coordinate with Lao authorities to pay attention to, help and create favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese, including the Vietnamese community in Laos, to do business and live in Laos, actively contributing to building an increasingly prosperous Laos.

The President emphasized that the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations have great strength and important roles in the process of consolidating and enhancing the special friendship between the two countries and hopes that this will continue to be an important bridge for the evergreen and everlasting friendship between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples.
