Commenting on the Report on the results of monitoring "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect" at the 49th session, the National Assembly Standing Committee highly appreciated the responsibility and efforts of the Monitoring Delegation as well as the Report on the results of monitoring.

The monitoring team has worked scientifically and systematically to develop a monitoring results report that covers all the contents in such a broad field. The report has clarified the issues, ensured the monitoring requirements, and focused on some major limitations and shortcomings that have been of interest to the public and voters. The data and information are rich, complete, and clear.

In particular, based on a comprehensive assessment of the results achieved, as well as focusing on a number of limitations and shortcomings that voters and people are concerned about, the Supervisory Delegation proposed 3 groups of tasks and solutions, including: breakthrough tasks and solutions; urgent tasks and solutions, to be completed by the end of 2026; medium and long-term tasks and solutions until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

To complete the Monitoring Results Report and Summary Report, the National Assembly Standing Committee recommends that the Monitoring Delegation continue to review and complete the Reports, ensuring consistency in data assessment, between the assessment of achieved results and existing problems, limitations, causes and proposals and recommendations.
