President Vo Van Thuong attended the third BRF from October 17-20.

On October 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that President Vo Van Thuong will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) in Beijing, China from October 17-20.

President Vo Van Thuong's visit to the BRF Forum was made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the Forum is an important activity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and is also an important forum for all parties to discuss promoting high-quality cooperation within the framework of the initiative.

Representatives from more than 130 countries and more than 30 international organizations have confirmed their attendance at this Forum.

Activities within the framework of the Forum include: Opening ceremony, 3 high-level forums on connectivity, green development and digital economy; 6 thematic forums on trade connectivity, people-to-people exchange, cooperation between research institutions, local cooperation, sea and ocean cooperation...

A business conference within the framework of the initiative will also be held.
