On behalf of the Vietnamese National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the Russian Federation on successfully organizing the 2024 Russian presidential election with President Vladimir Putin being re-elected with a very high number of votes of confidence.
Discussing inter-parliamentary cooperation, the National Assembly Chairman affirmed that this is one of the important pillars in the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in recent times and has been continuously consolidated and developed well.

Sharing with President Vladimir Putin about some specific results of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, the National Assembly Chairman said that the Vietnamese National Assembly has signed cooperation agreements with the Federation Council of Russia and the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
The two sides are discussing to re-sign this Agreement this year, adding specific cooperation contents between the Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Russian Federation Council's Cooperation Group with the Vietnamese National Assembly.
The National Assembly Chairman also outlined a number of specific cooperation orientations and activities expected to be carried out by the legislative bodies of the two countries in the coming time to actively contribute to the Vietnam-Russian Federation relationship.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that President Putin will continue to support and promote relations between the two countries' legislatures.

For his part, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated Mr. Tran Thanh Man on his election as Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
The Russian leader hopes that the National Assembly Chairman will continue to coordinate with the leaders of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation to promote cooperation between the two countries and the two National Assemblies.
He agreed with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man's assessment of the relationship between the two countries and the relationship between the two countries' legislative bodies, and emphasized that inter-parliamentary cooperation and cooperation between the two countries' political parties are very important.

Russian President Putin is looking forward to the official visit to the Russian Federation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man at the invitation of Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
