Dak Lak Province Chairman requests the Education sector to improve comprehensive quality

GD&TĐ - Working with the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak on the afternoon of August 6, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan requested the education sector to improve overall quality.

According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the Department of Education and Training has promoted its advisory role in all assigned fields, ensuring efficiency, quality, and progress, contributing to the completion of the province's common tasks.

After the merger, the whole province has 1,379 educational institutions under the management of the department, with 708,428 students from preschool, general education, vocational education - continuing education to university students and 38,441 managers and teachers.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the education sector will synchronously and flexibly deploy solutions to innovate teaching, testing and assessment methods according to the 2018 General Education Program.

The rate of students passing the high school graduation exam in 2025 is 98.36%. The quality of key education is maintained stably. Improving the quality of teaching and learning English is emphasized. Career guidance is effectively implemented at all levels, helping students have a clear orientation for career choices.

Along with that, educational policies for ethnic minority and particularly disadvantaged areas are fully implemented, creating conditions for students to study with peace of mind. Currently, educational institutions are focusing on enrollment, improving facilities, and professional training to prepare for the new school year 2025-2026.

At the meeting, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training proposed that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to a number of issues such as: Supplementing the teacher payroll; perfecting the financial and public asset management mechanism; investing in and renovating school facilities...

In his concluding remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Education sector, and emphasized: Education and training is a key field, directly affecting the sustainable development of the province.

From there, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training to comprehensively assess the impact of two-level government operations on education; develop specific solutions to improve the quality of management staff and teachers; tighten school discipline; and focus on fostering teachers' ethics.

Notably, the head of the provincial People's Committee also requested the entire education and training sector to continue improving the quality of mass education, paying special attention to education in disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas, ensuring fairness in access to learning and development opportunities for students.
