According to the dispatch of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, a tropical depression is operating in the sea east of the Philippines; at 08:00 on November 24, 2025, the center is at about 9.5° North latitude - 127.8° East longitude, strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 9, moving in the West Northwest direction, expected to enter the East Sea and likely to strengthen into a storm. The Central region is still overcoming serious damage from floods and rains, with the risk of increasing risks in the coming days.
Synchronously deploy measures to respond to tropical depressions and high tides
At the same time, according to the Hydrometeorological Station of Ca Mau province, the tide level on canals and coastal areas of the province will remain high in the next 2-3 days, posing a risk of flooding, causing insecurity for people, greatly affecting daily life, traffic, production and business.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, sectors; the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and People's Committees of communes and wards to seriously implement the following contents:
Agencies and units must proactively update forecast and warning bulletins; provide full information to organizations, individuals, businesses and people to proactively prevent and arrange appropriate production activities, ensuring safety of life and property.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to inspect and flexibly operate the irrigation system to regulate water, prevent tides, and reduce flooding; guide people to reinforce embankments, pump and drain water, protect rice, crops, and ponds; inspect sea dykes and immediately handle vulnerable points; coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant units to guide contractors to deploy safety measures at coastal and island projects.
The Provincial Military Command coordinates with units to promptly inform ships and boats of the location and developments of the tropical depression; maintain communication; and prepare rescue forces and means when situations arise.
People's Committees of communes and wards increase inspection of areas at risk of deep flooding; arrange warning signs, barriers, and guards; guide vehicles and people to move safely; prepare evacuation plans when necessary. At the same time, mobilize people guarding the bottom of offshore cargo ships to go ashore to take shelter safely.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units on duty for natural disaster prevention, control, search and rescue at all levels to organize on duty according to regulations. Regularly report the situation to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (through the Irrigation Sub-Department) for synthesis and reporting to the Central Ministries, branches, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as required.
