Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang inspects key projects

(ABO) On the morning of July 10, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Dung inspected key projects in the province.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang and Comrade Tran Van Dung inspected the actual project of the Traffic Road on both sides of Bao Dinh River.

Accordingly, comrade Tran Tri Quang and comrade Tran Van Dung, together with leaders of provincial departments and branches, inspected the Bao Dinh River Road Project. According to the Dong Thap Province Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Bao Dinh River Road Project has a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND; of which the estimated site clearance cost is more than 726 billion VND.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang requested to focus on resolving the remaining land acquisition issues.

The project has 5 construction packages, and will implement many items. Currently, the project has implemented 2 construction packages at the beginning of the route with a total value of nearly 525 billion VND. Because the construction site has not been fully handed over, the progress of the construction package phase 1 has only reached 63.02% of the value; the construction package phase 2 has reached 61.43% of the value.

The project encountered many difficulties in terms of construction site. In the past, contractors had gathered enough machinery, materials and equipment, but due to the incomplete and discontinuous construction site, it affected the construction progress of the construction packages being implemented.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang asked contractors to focus on speeding up construction progress at locations that are not obstructed by site clearance.

After listening to the investor's report and inspecting the construction site, comrade Tran Tri Quang requested the investor to coordinate with local authorities and related units to focus on site clearance at the remaining locations to speed up the project's progress.

Contractors prioritize the construction of vertical embankments of the packages, and deal with any problems. Investors accurately count what infrastructure is still stuck, and how long it is. Locations with "clean" ground must be focused on construction, and if there are any problems, they will be dealt with further...

Comrade Tran Tri Quang agreed to adjust the Project Component 2 to implement the section from Den Do to Tan Thanh.

After inspecting the Bao Dinh Riverbank Road Project, comrade Tran Tri Quang came to inspect the actual Component Project 2 of Provincial Road 864 Project (Road along Tien River).

According to the Dong Thap Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Component Project 2 has a total investment of over VND2,173 billion. The total length of the route is about 44 km (of which, about 21 km is newly built, about 9.5 km is upgraded and expanded, and about 13.5 km is fully utilized). Currently, Component Project 2 has been completed and put into use from National Highway 50 to Provincial Road 877B and Vam Giong Bridge.

The investor of Tan Phu Dong 1, 2 Wind Power Plant Project reports on the plant's operation status.

The project is also implementing the section from Long Binh to Den Do. The total length of this section is about 14.79 km, and construction started on June 26, 2025. The section from Den Do to Tan Thanh has a total length of about 3.9 km, with a cost of about 60 billion VND. Currently, this section is undergoing site clearance. The total investment is about 114 billion VND.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang visited Tan Phu Dong 1 and 2 Wind Power Plants.

On the same morning, comrade Tran Tri Quang also visited and learned about the activities of the Tan Phu Dong 1 and 2 Wind Power Plant Project of Tien Giang Wind Power Joint Stock Company. Tan Phu Dong 1 Wind Power Plant has a designed capacity of 100 MW and Tan Phu Dong 2 Wind Power Plant has a designed capacity of 50 MW. The two plants with a total investment of about 7,500 billion VND have been completed and put into use.

On average, each year, the two wind power plants contribute about 107 billion VND to the state budget. Currently, the investors of the two wind power plants are continuing to invest in the Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant Project.

Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant has a designed capacity of 100 MW, with an electricity output of about 264 million kWh/year. The total investment capital of the project is 4,700 billion VND, with an operating period of 45 years from the date of the investment policy decision.

The project is located in Go Cong Dong Commune, Dong Thap Province. The project is expected to start construction in September 2026. The investor strives to complete the project by the end of 2026, or at the latest by the beginning of 2027.
