Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center Project
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang inspected the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project, one of the projects selected by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to put up a welcome sign for the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. The project has a total investment of 300 billion VND, implementation period from 2022 to 2025, located in Nghia Chanh ward, Quang Ngai city. Up to now, the Conference and Exhibition building has completed the entire rough construction, and is implementing the installation of interior and equipment. The outdoor exhibition fair area has completed the entire N6 canal, N6-17 branch canal, and outdoor stage. The items of rainwater drainage system, wastewater, lighting, internal roads, trees, and grass have reached 70%. Currently, there are problems with compensation, site clearance, and adjustment to expand Cao Ba Quat street, so the remaining part has not been implemented. Regarding the adjustment of the Cao Ba Quat Street expansion project, the Project Management Board has established procedures to request approval for project adjustment. The disbursement volume is 227 billion VND, reaching 84% of the assigned capital plan. The project implementation is currently facing some difficulties, such as the paving of the sidewalk on the East side of Pham Van Dong Street cannot continue due to overlap with the project to Upgrade and renovate Pham Van Dong Street and Quang Ngai City Square. Regarding compensation and site clearance, the project affects 16 households and 4 organizations. Currently, 7 households have not yet approved the compensation and support plan because the specific land price of the project has not been approved.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang welcomed the Provincial Project Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction Investment for managing and operating the projects well and the contractors for making great efforts to complete the project about 6 months ahead of schedule. This is a project to celebrate the Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, so completing the project early will help the project to be tested more systematically for the province's important political event. Regarding the current difficulties and obstacles of the project, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Management Board and the People's Committee of Quang Ngai city to coordinate closely to complete the compensation and site clearance work in some project items. Quickly complete and approve the detailed planning project at a scale of 1/500 of Thien But Park Area to ensure the implementation of the project adjustment content of expanding Cao Ba Quat Street. The Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has a plan for effective exploitation after receiving this project.

Also this afternoon, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang inspected the Provincial Center for Disease Control project in Truong Quang Trong Ward. The total investment of the project is 150 billion VND. The implementation period is 2022-2025. Up to now, the basic construction items have been completed, the implementation volume has reached 90% of the contract value, about 6 months ahead of schedule. In order for the project to maximize its effectiveness after acceptance and handover, the Project Management Board recommends that the Provincial People's Committee promptly approve the adjusted and supplemented contractor selection plan to have a basis for organizing the implementation of the medical equipment bidding package.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated the investor and the construction unit for their efforts to speed up the project's progress beyond the set plan. For medical facilities, it is necessary to calculate reasonable and scientific functions to promote the highest efficiency. Relevant units need to urgently implement medical bidding packages. After completion, with spacious facilities, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that the health sector in general and the Provincial Center for Disease Control in particular will perform better in their functions and tasks of disease prevention and control and public health management.
