Focus on investing in connecting infrastructure to promote the operational efficiency of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park phase 2

(CT) - On July 16, Mr. Tran Van Lau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City chaired a working session with relevant departments, branches and leaders of Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company on the progress of the project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (IP) phase 2, invested by the Company.

The project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park Phase 2 in Vinh Trinh Commune, Can Tho City has a scale of more than 540 hectares, with a total investment of 7,850 billion VND. Up to now, the Company has prepared an environmental impact assessment report, expected to be completed and approved this July.

The company is coordinating with the Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center to sign a contract for compensation, support and resettlement of the project according to current regulations. In addition, it has completed the topographic, geological and hydrological surveys to serve the establishment of the basic design. It is expected that by the end of July 2025, the work of preparing the feasibility study report and basic design of the project will be completed; it is expected to be submitted for appraisal in October 2025...

To speed up the project progress, the Company recommends that the City People's Committee leaders pay attention to supporting issues related to handing over project boundaries in the field, promptly determining land prices, supporting the implementation of procedures related to compensation, support, and resettlement of the project, investing in connecting roads to the Industrial Park, investing in infrastructure to the Industrial Park fence, etc.

Mr. Tran Van Lau assigned tasks to relevant departments, agencies and sectors to promptly support project investors.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Van Lau affirmed: The city always pays attention to investing in connecting infrastructure to promote the effectiveness of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park Phase 2 when it comes into operation. The city's departments and branches quickly coordinate with the locality to soon complete the handover of project boundaries in the field, establish a Price Council, determine compensation, support and resettlement prices. In addition, urgently carry out procedures to continue investing in the resettlement project of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park Phase 2 to promptly meet the resettlement needs of the Industrial Park. The planning and investment of resettlement areas must ensure the scale and infrastructure so that people can live with peace of mind and do business and services to serve the Industrial Park in the area.
