Mr. Phan Thien Dinh was elected Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the evening of October 17, the People's Council of Hue city held the 27th thematic session, term VIII, term 2021 - 2026, including the election of the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue city for the new term.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Mr. Phuong was then assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

After voting, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council, was elected by delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh was born on December 10, 1971, in Thuan An ward, Hue city. He has a master's degree in public administration, a bachelor's degree in economics, a bachelor's degree in law, and a high level of political theory.

Before being elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Mr. Dinh held many important positions in the former Thua Thien Hue province and now Hue city such as: Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee (under the former Thua Thien Hue province), Secretary of the Thuan Hoa District Party Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the People's Council of Hue city.

On October 3, at the 17th Hue City Party Congress, Mr. Dinh was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Also at the meeting, the Hue City People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong from the position of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee.
