On the afternoon of December 4, Thairath newspaper of Thailand reported that the organizing committee of SEA Games 33 is facing a "headache" in Chonburi province - one of the two remaining host provinces (along with Bangkok, after Thailand abandoned Songkhla province due to flooding).

Specifically, a contractor constructing sports facilities stopped cooperating with the SEA Games, when the organizing committee continuously delayed paying the deposit.

"At first, the Organizing Committee promised to pay the deposit on December 2, and we started our work. But until today, we still have not received the money," Thairath newspaper quoted this person as saying.

Chonburi plays an important role in Thailand's plan to host the 33rd SEA Games. Specifically, women's football, weightlifting, hockey, golf... will take place here.

The withdrawal of a contractor from the project could make the organization of the Thai host - which has been very chaotic in recent days - even more unstable.

This is not the first person to criticize the SEA Games organizing committee for lack of transparency in money matters.

Singer Pat Klear criticized the Thai organizers - Photo: FB

On December 3, a program director named Rueangrith Suntisuk accused the organizers of canceling his and his team's project, which lasted more than half a year, without any payment.

Also tonight, famous singer Pat Klear (real name Rannaphan Yungyuenpoonchai) made a strong criticism aimed at the SEA Games organizing committee.

Specifically, the singer criticized the SEA Games organizing committee for wasting the state budget. With a following of up to 1.2 million, Pat Klear's post quickly created a storm on social networks.

This can be seen as a new wave of negativity that the Thai organizing committee has to face, after making a series of mistakes in the first days of competition at the SEA Games.

Previously, in just 2 days, Thailand received heavy criticism for making unbelievable mistakes such as showing the wrong national flags of many countries on the official website, not playing the national anthem, or making confusing announcements...

In a new wave of negative information, the 33rd SEA Games organizing committee was accused of lacking financial transparency.
