- On May 9, comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to assess the implementation of the plan to resolve, remove difficulties, obstacles, and handle investment projects in the province.
According to the report at the meeting, implementing Plan No. 116 dated April 21, 2025 on implementing solutions, removing difficulties, obstacles, and handling investment projects in the province, relevant units have reviewed 104 projects, including 87 non-budget projects; 13 public investment projects and 4 investment projects in the form of public-private partnerships. The total number of tasks assigned to agencies according to the conclusion notices of the Provincial People's Committee and Plan 116 is 221 tasks.
As of May 7, the units have completed 58 tasks; 84 tasks are still within the deadline; 60 tasks are overdue; 15 tasks do not have specific evaluation reports and 4 tasks do not have deadlines. The progress of the tasks has not met the work requirements according to Plan 116 set by the Provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, leaders of relevant departments and branches and People's Committees of districts and cities provided additional information and clarified the reasons affecting the progress of implementing tasks such as: some investors were slow to complete documents and procedures according to the instructions of competent authorities; investors did not cooperate with relevant departments and branches; departments and branches were slow in appraising investment processes and procedures; investors' capacity was limited; problems in site clearance, etc.
In addition, representatives of relevant units also proposed solutions to remove difficulties for projects such as: urging investors to promptly complete documents and procedures according to regulations; considering the option of terminating project implementation for investors who are slow to complete legal procedures; strengthening coordination between agencies and units in handling problems related to site clearance for projects...
Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee criticized the leaders of the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Finance and the People's Committees of the districts for not implementing the 116 plan well and the conclusions of the provincial leaders on inspection and removing difficulties of the projects.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to resolutely and seriously organize the implementation and complete the assigned tasks.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed units to strictly implement the reporting regime and regularly review and promptly propose arising difficulties and problems for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Units must strictly comply with the conclusions of the Provincial People's Committee announced at meetings related to the work of removing difficulties and obstacles for investment projects in the area. In particular, heads of units are responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the progress of implementing assigned tasks according to the conclusions at this meeting.
