(NADS) - On the afternoon of October 8, 2024, in Quang Tri province, Comrade Vo Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, together with Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Hoang Nam and representatives of departments and branches had a friendly meeting with the Road 9 Club of Quang Tri province.
The meeting was for members of the Road 9 Club, a gathering place for retired leaders in Dong Ha City. This was not only an opportunity for provincial leaders to express their gratitude for the contributions of the Club members, but also an opportunity to look back at the achievements the province has made in recent times.

Impressive socio-economic achievements of Quang Tri province
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung reported on the outstanding achievements in implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. He emphasized that thanks to the great efforts and determination of the entire Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province, many socio-economic indicators have achieved positive results. The province's GRDP per capita has reached 71 million VND, and the economic growth rate remains quite high, especially in the context of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The province's key programs have achieved encouraging results, from synchronous infrastructure investment to the implementation of important projects such as My Thuy Port, Quang Tri Airport, and Quang Tri Industrial Park. In particular, the energy industry has made great strides, with total power capacity increasing 3.5 times compared to the beginning of the term, contributing to realizing the goal of building Quang Tri province into an energy center of the Central region.
In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung also emphasized the province's focus on agriculture , especially the development of clean agriculture and the construction of organic agricultural models. The province has been actively inviting businesses to participate in cooperation and implementing more than 80 high-tech agricultural projects, with the expectation of developing a synchronous and sustainable agricultural economic ecosystem.
