Ho Chi Minh City expands educational and scientific cooperation with Stanford University

(HTV) - During a working trip to the United States, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation led by Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City National University and Doerr School, Stanford University, aiming at the goals of sustainable development and innovation.

Within the framework of the visit and work in the United States, on the morning of October 16 (local time), the Ho Chi Minh City delegation led by comrade Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee had a working session with Stanford University and witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ho Chi Minh City National University and Doerr School, Stanford University.

The Doerr School, established by Stanford University in 2022, is a leading center for climate change and sustainable development research, and a hub for international cooperation programs in science , technology and innovation. Professor Arun Majumdar - Dean of the Doerr School affirmed that Southeast Asia is a key region in the school's global cooperation strategy, aiming to train and develop the next generation of leaders, promoting the pillars of innovation and industrialization.

Stanford University is considered an ideal strategic partner to work with Ho Chi Minh City National University to build international training, research and technology transfer programs.
