Attending the congress were Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the City Police; Comrade Le Cong Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union; Comrade Ho Van Dac - former Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, along with 150 delegates representing more than 2,300 union members and young people from the entire force.
The Congress was a significant political event, marking a new stage of maturity for the Da Nang Public Security Youth Union. In a solemn atmosphere, the Congress approved the report summarizing the Youth Union's work and youth movement for the period 2022-2025; determined the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, affirming the spirit of unity, pioneering, and the aspiration to contribute of the young people of the city's Public Security force.
Over the past three years, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the City Police, and the City Youth Union, the youth of the Da Nang Police have demonstrated a pioneering, creative, and volunteer spirit, effectively implementing three revolutionary action movements, leaving many significant marks. Notable examples include projects and models such as the "Community Digital Technology Team," "Security Lighting," "August 19th House," and "Accompanying Children to School," with a total mobilized budget of over 11.6 billion VND; thousands of man-days participating in "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses"; over 600 legal awareness sessions; 14 voluntary blood donation drives; and hundreds of activities expressing gratitude and repaying kindness.
Political and ideological education, moral training, and the comprehensive development of a strong Youth Union organization have always been emphasized, creating a sustainable foundation for the youth movement throughout the entire force. From this practical experience, many outstanding collectives and individuals have been commended and rewarded by various levels, contributing to building the image of a dynamic, capable young police officer serving the people.
In their guiding remarks at the Congress, Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong and City Youth Union Secretary Le Cong Hung acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the city's police youth, and urged the Youth Union to continue affirming its pioneering role in the ideological and cultural front in the coming term, maintaining political steadfastness, innovating, and contributing even more to the cause of protecting national security and developing a livable city.
At the congress, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union announced the decision to appoint the first term of the Da Nang City Police Youth Committee, 2025-2030, consisting of 19 young officers with sufficient capacity, qualities, and leadership skills to lead the Youth Union's work in the coming period. Major Bui Anh Duc was appointed as the Head of the Committee; Lieutenant Colonel Ho Dinh Tri and Major Ho Quang Man were appointed as Deputy Heads. The congress also adopted a resolution with 100% of the delegates' unanimous agreement.
With the motto " Unity - Pioneering - Creativity - Development," the youth of the Da Nang Public Security force pledge to continue marching forward under the Party's banner, leveraging their youthful energy, intellect, and aspirations for contribution, proving themselves a reliable vanguard force, and contributing to building a peaceful, civilized, and livable Da Nang city.
