Congress of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen Province

On the morning of December 12th, in Tra Ly ward, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province held its first General Assembly for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the event.

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented flowers to congratulate the Congress.

The Congress announced the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee allowing the renaming of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Thai Binh province to the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province; approved the Association's Charter and Activity Program; and elected a 25-member Executive Committee.

Delegates congratulated the Executive Committee of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province for the 2025-2030 term.

The Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association was established in 2020 and currently has over 2,000 members operating in 45 branches. The Association consistently promotes unity and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, as well as the State's laws and regulations, and organizes many practical activities, contributing to strengthening the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province will focus on closely following the major orientations of the Central Association; thoroughly understanding the Party and State's policies on expanding people-to-people diplomacy in the spirit of peace , friendship, cooperation, and effectiveness; effectively carrying out propaganda and mobilization work to recruit former volunteer soldiers and experts to join the association, striving to have over 4,500 members by the end of the term. It will also promote people-to-people diplomacy tasks, especially the "Nurturing Friendship" work, to comprehensively develop the spirit of cooperation and mutual support between the two countries.

At the Congress, collectives and individuals who achieved many accomplishments in performing their duties received commendations from the Provincial People's Committee, emulation flags, and commendations from the Central Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association.

Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province.

The Hung Yen Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning presented gifts to support Cambodian students studying at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
