Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong listened to reports from departments, branches and localities on some important contents.

On the morning of March 28, comrade Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to reports from departments, branches and localities on a number of contents on the restoration, embellishment and prevention of degradation of ranked relics in the province; investment policy for the project to restore and build the Communal House where Uncle Ho lived and worked in Tam Dao town, Tam Dao district; and organization of the Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2025.

Implementing Resolution No. 71 and Resolution No. 14 of the Provincial People's Council on the restoration and embellishment of relics, the province currently has 14 relics with approved projects; 1 relic has approved investment policy but has not approved the project; 38 relics have approved investment preparation tasks and are implementing procedures for reporting and proposing investment policies; 29 relics have not approved investment preparation tasks; 7 relics are submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of investment preparation tasks. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the province has allocated more than 159 billion VND to implement 13/15 relics with approved investment policies.

Regarding the results of implementing the restoration and prevention of degradation of relics according to Plan No. 175 and Decision No. 402 of the Provincial People's Committee, currently, 28 relics have completed restoration and prevention of degradation; 10 relics have had their economic and technical reports on restoration and prevention of degradation approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2024; 7 relics have not been funded; 3 relics in the list expected to be implemented in 2024 are being submitted for appraisal and approval of economic and technical reports; 22 relics in the list to be implemented in 2025.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to carefully prepare documents and procedures for carrying out the restoration and embellishment of relics in accordance with the provisions of law; review the documents of a number of relics that have approved investment policies and propose to add them to the public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030.

The restoration and embellishment of relics should give priority to special national relics, national relics, and seriously degraded relics, and relics with complete procedural documents.

The project to restore and build the Communal House where Uncle Ho lived and worked in Tam Dao town, Tam Dao district has a total investment of more than 14.9 billion VND. Up to now, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with relevant departments and branches to complete all procedures and prepare to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the investment policy.

The project will become a cultural center, serving political activities, traditional education, meeting the needs, aspirations and feelings of the people for Uncle Ho, contributing to promoting the development of local culture and tourism.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vinasing Group reported to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing the Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 with the theme "Vinh Phuc flies up with the country".

The festival is expected to be held from April 26 to May 1 at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh Yen).

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong emphasized: Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 is a major cultural event, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The festival is a new and unique tourism product, contributing to promoting the cultural beauty and people of Vinh Phuc, attracting tourists to Vinh Phuc.

He requested Vinasing Group to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to ensure security, order and flight safety; arrange suitable festival areas; organize special art performances to create highlights for the festival.

The organization of the festival will be reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for comments in the coming time. After that, relevant units will be assigned to develop a detailed plan to organize the festival, ensuring the festival takes place successfully and safely.
