A traffic accident occurred in Dray Bhang commune, killing a commune leader on duty.

The incident occurred at around 6:15 p.m. on October 3, on National Highway 27, section Km16+800. It is known that at this time, heavy rain occurred in the commune, causing a section of National Highway 27 to be deeply flooded.

At the time of the accident, Highway 27 was deeply flooded due to heavy rain.

Faced with the above situation, comrade Le Phuoc Toan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dray Bhang Commune, along with a number of officials and members of the People's Committee of the Commune were present at the scene to directly direct traffic and guide traffic to ensure safety for people passing through the dangerous area. While performing his duties on the road, comrade Toan was suddenly hit by a car (license plate and driver's identity unknown) coming from behind at high speed. The strong collision threw comrade Le Phuoc Toan about 10 meters away.

After the collision, comrade Toan was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but due to severe injuries, he did not survive.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities.
