- According to the plan, the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term will take place in 2 days (August 8 and 9, 2024) at the Provincial Convention Center. Up to now, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has focused on completing the preparations for the congress.

From January 2024 to June 2024, the whole province completed the congresses of the Fatherland Front at the commune and district levels. The congresses in the localities took place seriously, in accordance with the procedures, ensuring the content according to the instructions of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. The Fatherland Front congresses at the commune and district levels elected over 7,000 members of the Fatherland Front Committee, ensuring the quantity, structure, composition, and representation of the great national unity bloc.

The success of the commune and district-level Fatherland Front Congresses created the premise for organizing the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress. Mr. Nguyen Huu Chien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, affirmed: The 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress has the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development". This is an important political event, an opportunity to encourage, motivate, and create consensus among all classes of people to carry out emulation movements, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. To prepare for the provincial congress, since August 2023, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has established 4 sub-committees to serve the congress, including: personnel sub-committee, documents, propaganda, and reception service sub-committee. Up to now, the tasks have been completed on schedule, ready to organize the congress on August 8-9, 2024.

Regarding the political report to be submitted to the congress, the Document Subcommittee has drafted a summary report for the 2019-2024 term and an action program for the 2024-2029 term, organized to collect opinions from members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and people through the Fatherland Front Congresses of districts and cities. At the same time, collect opinions from member organizations and the entire population through the electronic information page of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Up to now, the draft report has been received and edited for the third time.

The new point in this term’s provincial congress is that the political report presentation is limited to reading, and the use of illustrations and reports is increased. At this congress, the congress organizing committee has created a QR code to facilitate delegates’ access by smartphone to research and store congress documents.

Notably, the draft political report assessed that 9/9 targets set out in the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term were all achieved and exceeded; 3 new tasks arising from practice were all organized and implemented with clear effectiveness. The draft report identified 6 specific action programs, suitable to practice, to continue promoting the tradition and strength of great national unity.

At the same time, to clarify the results achieved during the term, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee directed, guided, and requested 24 groups and individuals to report on their discussions, of which 7 are expected to be presented directly at the congress.

Mr. Nong Sy Huynh, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Loc district, said: The Fatherland Front Committee of the district has prepared a presentation with the topic: "The Fatherland Front of the district with the work of coordinating propaganda and organizing to collect people's opinions on the merger of Cao Loc district into Lang Son city. Accordingly, the Fatherland Front of the district presented the results of coordinating the implementation of preparation work, propaganda work to collect voters' opinions on this content.

Regarding personnel work, the Personnel Subcommittee has followed the instructions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to implement in accordance with regulations. Mr. Duong Van Vinh, Head of the Organization and Propaganda Department, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee analyzed: The personnel of the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress has been submitted to the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for approval. According to the Personnel Plan, the number of members of the new term Fatherland Front Committee is 77, an increase of 2 compared to the previous term (currently 2 positions are vacant). The composition structure is ensured according to regulations, including: the head of the member organization at the same level; the chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee at the next lower level; a number of typical individuals in organizations, classes, social strata, ethnic groups, religions and a number of experts, with in-depth knowledge in fields related to the activities of the Fatherland Front; a number of specialized cadres of the Fatherland Front Committee at the same level. Of which, the proportion of women accounts for 33.3% (an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous term), the proportion of religions accounts for 5.3% (an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous term).

The propaganda work about the congress was also promoted in many forms. In particular, the propaganda and visual decoration work was focused on with more than 250 billboards, slogans, and fishtail flags decorated in the central areas of Lang Son city and the Provincial Convention Center (where the congress was held).

The city's Fatherland Front Committees at all levels mobilized people to clean up the streets and hang the national flag before, during and after the congress. At the same time, they promoted propaganda on the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front website and the fan page system and Facebook accounts of the provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have promoted the implementation of special emulation movements to welcome the congresses of the Fatherland Front delegates at all levels for the 2024-2029 term, with meaningful works and tasks. Specifically: building new and repairing great solidarity houses, building civil works, new rural construction works, building roads to check landmarks... To date, the whole province has completed 482 works and tasks, with a total value of over 43.2 billion VND.

With careful and thorough preparation in all aspects, we believe that the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lang Son province, term 2024 - 2029, will be a great success, creating a premise for effective implementation of action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, contributing to building Lang Son province to develop rapidly and sustainably.
