Preparing to inaugurate two Central Hospitals, Branch 2, in Hanoi

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Central Children's Hospital, Branch 2, and the Central Maternity Hospital, Branch 2 are two of the key projects that will hold inauguration ceremonies on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

Towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on the morning of August 19, the Government will organize the groundbreaking and simultaneous inauguration of about 250 projects at 80 locations across the country.

The National Children's Hospital, Branch 2, and the National Maternity Hospital, Branch 2 are two of the key projects that will hold inauguration ceremonies on this special occasion.

Up to now, preparations for the inauguration ceremony at the National Children's Hospital have been carried out synchronously, from completing the landscape, installing equipment to reviewing and arranging the examination room area, treatment area and accompanying facilities.

At the same time, the staff of the National Children's Hospital directly supervise, track the progress and accept each item.

Currently, the system of modern medical machinery and equipment in departments and rooms is ready for operation. Many advanced equipment in the field of Pediatrics have also been tested, ensuring that they fully meet the technical and professional safety requirements as prescribed by the Ministry of Health . The National Children's Hospital, branch 2, currently has a scale of 300 inpatient beds.

The outpatient area has also been completed with a reception area, examination room, and emergency room fully equipped with necessary equipment to receive and promptly handle cases from the first days of operation. Another important item is the pharmacy and medical supplies warehouse, all essential medicines and medical supplies have been warehoused, arranged, and stored according to regulations.

Along with the facilities, the hospital has also carefully prepared professional human resources. Experts and leading doctors from facility 1 will take turns working at facility 2, ensuring that all children coming to facility 2 will have access to medical services and expertise equivalent to facility 1.

The National Children's Hospital, branch 2, is located in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi, with an investment of more than 880 billion VND, with a total land area of about 6 hectares, of which the construction area is about 7,530 m2, including 1 administrative block, 1 paraclinical block, 2 inpatient treatment blocks 5 floors high, 1 basement, and accompanying synchronous technical infrastructure items.

The Hospital's second facility is organized with 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments and 1 functional unit, ensuring full implementation of emergency, medical examination and treatment and rehabilitation tasks for children.

Central Maternity Hospital Facility 2   invested 950 billion VND on a land area of nearly 60,000 m2

The Central Maternity Hospital's second facility is also located in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi and is also one of the typical medical facilities chosen to hold the inauguration ceremony on this occasion.

The Central Maternity Hospital's second facility was invested with a total cost of about 950 billion VND, built on a land area of nearly 60,000 m², of which the construction area is more than 8,400 m². The project consists of 6 floors above ground, 1 technical floor and 1 attic floor, designed in a modern style, optimizing functionality, being environmentally friendly and convenient for patients.

According to the plan, the hospital has a scale of 300 inpatient beds, receiving about 1,000 examinations per day.

The Hospital's second facility includes 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments, and many supporting functional rooms such as coordination room, customer care, pharmacy, pharmaceutical warehouse, technical logistics... The hospital is flexibly arranged to serve both long-term inpatient treatment needs and high-quality outpatient examination.

The work of completing and preparing for the operation of the new facility is being urgently implemented under the close direction of the Board of Directors. Each functional area - from the clinic, operating room, treatment area to the technical and logistics departments - is being reviewed and adjusted according to professional standards, ensuring quality, infection control factors, patient safety and fire prevention and fighting during the phase of putting each part into use.

Medical equipment has been invested synchronously, serving comprehensively from diagnosis, treatment to recovery. The hospital operating system applies digital technology and artificial intelligence, aiming at a smart - green - digital hospital model.

The hospital has also transferred and appropriately arranged many highly qualified and experienced personnel assigned to work at the new facility.

The opening of medical facilities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) is not only an important milestone for each Hospital but also demonstrates the determination to innovate and improve the quality of healthcare, taking patients as the center, for a more equitable, modern and effective healthcare system.
