(kontumtv.vn) – From June 21 to 22, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a research and restoration of the Kra co maar ceremony of the Xo Dang ethnic group (Ha Lang branch) in Ro Koi village, Ro Koi commune, Sa Thay district. This is the largest ceremony in the festival system of the Ha Lang people.
The Kra Cơ Maar ceremony is held by villagers when there are many unlucky events in the village, many people are sick and cannot recover, and the crops are not favorable. The village elder will gather the villagers to organize a ritual to dispel bad luck for the whole village, asking the gods to bring luck, health and prosperity to the families in the village. To prepare for the ceremony, the village elder assigns tasks to the village members to go into the forest to cut trees to erect the pole, chop dry wood, repair the communal house and clean the space in the village. The pole in the Kra Cơ Maar ceremony represents the strength of the Xơ Đăng village of the Hà Lăng branch and the desire and wish to protect the villagers. Therefore, the villagers spend a lot of time preparing the pole and meticulously decorate it.
Through the restoration of festivals, good cultural values imbued with national identity are promoted, contributingto educating and preserving cultural traditions for the younger generation, strengthening the spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups. Not only serving as scientific archives, the restoration activity also promotes the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in ethnic minority areas, contributing to the development of community tourism in the locality./.
