Vietnam - Z121Vina Pyrotech: A message of peace in the new era
As one of the two best teams after nearly two months of competition, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech fireworks team will represent Vietnam in the DIFF 2025 final with a meticulously crafted work titled “Message of Peace”.
Using approximately 7,000 fireworks, the Ministry of Defense's fireworks team promises to deliver a dazzling and spectacular display, meeting the expectations and sentiments of the audience; while simultaneously conveying a declaration through light about the values that Vietnam has always steadfastly pursued: Peace and stability – a sustainable foundation in a constantly changing world.
Colonel Tran Thanh Son, team leader of Z121 Vina Pyrotech, shared: “As representatives of a military enterprise participating in the competition, it is inevitable that each performance will always reflect the spirit and style of a soldier – not noisy, but full of determination. This performance will not be as ‘slow’ as in the opening night, but also not as ‘hasty’ as the style that audiences often see from many other teams in previous fireworks seasons.”
The "Message of Peace" fireworks display consists of four acts, with continuously changing colors and music . It begins with a vibrant melody, depicting the dynamic development of Da Nang – a city of the future. Then, the second act, with its predominantly red and yellow fireworks, recreates the glorious history and indomitable tradition of nation-building and defense of the Vietnamese people.
In chapter three, the audience will encounter gentle yet powerful arrangements, using shades of blue and purple to symbolize freedom, determination, and the desire for innovation in the modern era. The climax comes at the end, when music and light blend in an open space to affirm that development is inevitable, and peace is the indispensable core.
The playlist used by the team in the performance was carefully selected, combining popular international songs such as Centuries, Fireworks, The Nights, Pirates of the Caribbean with distinctive Vietnamese melodies like Hào khí Việt Nam (The Spirit of Vietnam) and Khát vọng hòa bình (Aspiration for Peace).
If in the qualifying round, the team had already brought the entire audience to their feet with "As if President Ho Chi Minh were present on the day of great victory," then in the final, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team chose to showcase explosive fireworks effects set to the song "Aspiration for Peace" – a composition that resonated solemnly at the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024, performed by Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi and Meritorious Artist Lien Huong.
China – Jiangxi Yangfeng: A Shining Gem, A City of the Future
Facing the home team in the final night was the Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display team from China. While in the qualifying rounds, the Chinese team impressed with their distinctive Eastern-style fireworks display, closely tied to a single piece of music, they unexpectedly shifted direction in the final with a playlist spanning 10 songs for approximately 7,000 fireworks – a bold decision that promised to create an artistic breakthrough.
Mr. Liang Weiming – captain of the Jiangxi Yanfeng fireworks team – shared: “By participating in this competition, we want to challenge ourselves and conquer the championship title. We hope that the spectacular fireworks techniques our team brings will touch the hearts of the audience in Da Nang . That flame of determination is burning brightly in the hearts of each member, and no words can fully express our feelings.”
With the theme “A Shining Pearl – The City of Tomorrow,” the performance was a tribute to Da Nang, a coastal city that is rapidly developing and striving towards a sustainable and innovative future. The Chinese team likened Da Nang to a shining “pearl” in Asia, a symbol of peace, integration, and the aspiration to reach new horizons.
What was particularly intriguing was the Chinese team's choice of "Bac Bling," a trendy Vietnamese song currently trending on social media, for their performance. This marks the first time the Jiangxi Yangfeng fireworks team has included Vietnamese music in their show, demonstrating their sophistication and willingness to engage with local culture.
In addition, a diverse range of international songs such as The Final Countdown, Legacy of Six, Homecoming, Promise of Hope… create a musical flow that is both vibrant and dreamy, taking the audience from reality to the future, from the land of Da Nang today to visions brimming with hope.
A spectacular and exhilarating final night.
Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng (China), two teams with distinct styles in both their performance and fireworks language, will together create a spectacular final night of DIFF 2025. Both teams share a contemporary message: the aspiration for peace, development, and connection between nations. Each performance is meticulously crafted, from the content structure and music to the modern fireworks techniques, promising to bring audiences moments of explosive emotion along the Han River.
Beyond just fireworks, the art stage along the Han River will be hotter than ever with the appearance of top names: singer My Tam, divo Tung Duong, singer Huong Tram… along with leading professional artists and dance troupes in Vietnam. In addition, SKY AR virtual reality technology continues to create multi-layered experiences, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in a visual feast between the real and digital worlds.
The DIFF 2025 final night will take place at 8 PM on July 12th, broadcast live on VTV1 – Vietnam Television. It will be a night of artistic brilliance, light, and music, concluding the longest fireworks season in DIFF's 15-year history, and igniting pride, aspirations for peace, and connection among nations.
