That is the comment of musician and producer Huy Ngo, when mixing the album. Stroll belong to Ngoc Khue , just released today (15-1).

This is the singer's fifth studio album since Dew drops fly up 18 years ago. According to Ngoc Khue, in this album, folk music is combined with Dolby Atmos technology - a form of multi-dimensional 3D sound space - "bringing experiences for the first time in Vietnam".

Chili dragonfly , My grandmother … is not the same

Album Stroll includes 8 songs: Chili dragonfly, By the pond at home, Stork, Dew drops flying up, Drifting duckweed, Floating clouds, Thread threading needle, Crossing the bridge, Wind blowing, My grandmother .

These are familiar songs, but in this album, the musical experience is completely different thanks to the combination of traditional folk music with modern electronic sounds.

That is why Musician Nguyen Vinh Tien listen to the song you composed - my grandmother and Dew drops fly up - also "feel lost in a completely different space".

In which the grandmother in my grandmother associated with a luxurious, noble image in the new era; and Dew Drops go up more colorful, blending many cultural elements.

But why, after 18 years of releasing an album, Ngoc Khue doesn't make new songs but still old songs or familiar folk songs?

At the press conference on the afternoon of January 15, the singer shared that these were songs associated with her voice and were loved by the audience.

"Ngoc Khue has established herself as a singer of the music genre. contemporary folk. Why don't we renew it, promote it and turn it into our own cultural value as well as that of Vietnamese music?", the artist said.

Ngoc Khue revealed that in this album, she wrote the rap lyrics for some songs herself. In addition to her own innovation, she sees it as a traditional way to connect with young audiences.

"Ngoc Khue pioneer"

Ngoc Khue said many years ago she "cherished and imagined a unique musical product that when listened to, gave the feeling of flying into the vast universe, even flying out of the… speakers". But it was not until she met Huy Ngo that that dream became a reality.

According to Huy Ngo, Dolby Atmos is an exclusive technology developed by Dolby Laboratories in recent years, allowing sound to "fly" throughout space, bringing much more realistic and vivid experiences.

Units/studios that want to apply, when mixing and mastering, must also meet the strict standards of this company.

Currently, only a few top US and UK artists in the world have begun to apply this technology to their products.

"In Vietnam, Ngoc Khue is the pioneer singer who makes music using this technology and can play it in theaters," said the producer.

This technology is quite new, so currently audiences can only experience it best on some supported platforms such as Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited...

Ngoc Khue said "the album is an affirmation that traditional Vietnamese music can completely integrate with international trends, becoming more youthful and trendy without losing its identity".
