On the evening of August 17th, at the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street stage, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police, organized a special art program titled " Vietnam – The Homeland in My Heart".
The program is a practical artistic activity commemorating the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament (May 10, 1969 - May 10, 2024); the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024); the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024); the 19th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2024); and the awarding of the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security by General Secretary and President To Lam.
Attending the program were: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Group, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police; Tran Kim Yen, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Duong Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City…
Over 79 years of building, fighting, and maturing, under the direct leadership and training of the Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh, with the support and protection of compatriots and comrades; the close coordination of the Army and all levels and sectors; and the cooperation and assistance of international friends, the People's Public Security has overcome countless difficulties and hardships; bravely fought and sacrificed, successfully fulfilling the task of protecting national security, social order and safety, and the peaceful and happy lives of the people; achieving many outstanding victories, further enhancing the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnamese People's Public Security.
With achievements following achievements, the Ho Chi Minh City Police have created many exceptionally outstanding accomplishments, receiving commendations and letters of praise from the Government and the Ministry of Public Security . These accomplishments are the culmination of the spirit of solidarity, camaraderie, and unwavering determination of the entire Ho Chi Minh City Police force to overcome extremely difficult circumstances and challenges, always dedicated "for the peace of life, for the happiness of the people." They also demonstrate the effectiveness of crime prevention and control in the new situation, making a particularly important contribution to curbing the increase of various types of crime; especially the effective resolution of property theft and robbery, which is no longer a complex issue; maintaining a secure and safe environment in all situations; and silently contributing to the socio-economic development and international integration of Ho Chi Minh City.
The special art program "Vietnam – My Homeland in My Heart," produced by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center, is structured into the following chapters: Opening - My Homeland in My Heart, Uncle Ho's Words Shine Forever, Selfless Service for the Nation – Serving the People, For Peaceful Life – For the Happiness of the People .
During the program, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, singers Nguyen Phi Hung, Anh Bang, Ho Trung Dung, Thuy Trinh, Thanh Nguyen, Duong Quoc Hung, Phan Ngoc Luan, Minh Sang, Thanh Tam, Dang Quan, the Lac Viet group, the ABC Kids children's group, singers from the People's Police Music and Dance Theatre: Thu Huong, Thanh Binh, Phuong Bac, Trieu Dinh Minh, and police officers from Ho Chi Minh City... successively performed musical pieces: "I Love My Homeland," "Following the Sacred Testament," the Dong Khoi suite, "August 19th," "The August Flag," "Declaration of Independence," the song "Keeping the Oath," "Silent Glory," "Proud to be a Police Officer," " Keeping Life Peaceful," "The City Forever One Love," "I'm a Little Police Officer," "Flying High and Shining with the City," a martial arts performance of Mai Hoa Quyen , a demonstration of the operation and handling of the "Criminal Gang Catching" mechanism by the 363 Patrol Force of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, and a screening of documentary videos ...
On the same evening, a brass band parade performance took place on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street at 7 PM. Following the special art program "Vietnam - My Homeland," the cavalry performance by the Mobile Police Cavalry Unit of the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security, was also held. This grand and captivating event attracted the attention of many city residents and international tourists.
